Affiliate Disclosure
We earn commissions on purchases made through links on this site. This never influences our scores or recommendations. Here is exactly how that works.
FTC-Required Disclosure
In compliance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR Part 255 (“Endorsement Guides”), Supplement Scored discloses that it has a material connection to certain product retailers. When you click a product link on this site and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.
We participate in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. We also participate in other supplement-retailer affiliate programs.
How Affiliate Relationships Work Here
Affiliate links typically include a tracking parameter (for example, our Amazon Associates tag) that attributes a purchase to our site. The retailer pays us a small percentage of the sale. You pay the same price either way.
We display affiliate disclosures at the top of any page that contains affiliate links so you see them before any “Buy” button, in line with the FTC’s “clear and conspicuous” requirement (revised 2023).
Why This Doesn’t Influence Our Scores
Every product on this site is scored on a four-pillar rubric: evidence, quality testing, cost per effective dose, and transparency. Scores are computed before any commercial relationship is considered. The full methodology is publicly documented on the Methodology page.
We score products from brands we have no affiliate relationship with, and we routinely recommend products from those brands when the evidence supports it. We also publish negative findings, “Ineffective” verdicts, and “Not There Yet” evidence grades on products that pay us a commission. If you find a case where you think a score has been softened to favor a commercial relationship, email us and we will publicly address it.
We do not accept payment, free product, or any other consideration in exchange for favorable coverage. We do not run sponsored content. We do not have brand-paid “featured” placements on rankings.
What We Recommend You Do
Read our scoring rationale before clicking any “Buy” button. If a product’s evidence grade or value pillar doesn’t hold up to your scrutiny, don’t buy it. Use our scores as a starting point, not a final answer, and always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting a new supplement.
